Please learn from one of my biggest regrets.

My girls are currently 4 and 20 months old as I type this. And the thought of how fast these years are flying by makes my stomach turn.

Though I’m a photographer — guess what one of my biggest regrets is?

Not getting in front of the camera more.

I’ve been that mom. The one always behind the lens. The one capturing the magic, but not actually in the memories. For the longest time, when someone asked for an updated photo of me with the girls, I’d scroll and scroll... only to realize the last one was so far back, they didn’t even look like that anymore.

It broke my heart when I realized how few memories I had of us — together.

But not anymore.

Now, I get in front of the camera — no matter what.

No matter if I feel bloated.

No matter if my hair is a mess.

No matter if I don’t love my outfit.

Because these moments are going by too quickly, and I want something to hold onto.

I want to look back and remember the feeling of those little pudgy hands in mine.

I want to relive the joy of dancing barefoot in the kitchen, their giggles echoing through the house.

I want to see our faces together — and remember everything.

And I don’t just want those memories for me — I want them for my girls.

I want them to grow up and see us snuggled up, laughing, running wild, or indulging in our favorite snacks.

I want those photos to make them feel something.

To feel loved.

To feel home.

This is one of the biggest reasons I’ve made a big shift into family photography in Buffalo.

Don’t get me wrong — I still adore boudoir sessions and engagement stories. But family photography?

That’s what fills my cup.

That’s what makes it overflow.

I want to help other moms avoid the regrets I’ve had.

I want to help you feel seen and valued.

I want to help families capture the magic in the little things — the way your child’s hand fits perfectly in yours, the way your baby girl grins with those squishy cheeks, the way your son hams it up for the camera.

The way your family looks at you with love.

These years go by way too fast.

Please, don’t wait. Don’t hide. Don’t miss out.
